The May 4th Youth Day originated from China's anti imperialist and patriotic "May 4th Movement" in 1919. The May 4th Patriotic Movement was a thorough patriotic movement against imperialism and feudalism, and also the beginning of China's new democratic revolution.

While enjoying a peaceful and happy life, I can't help but think of those young people who once sacrificed their lives for the democracy, science and independence of the Chinese nation. They came forward to save the people from suffering when the nation suffered humiliation; It is they who, with their burning enthusiasm and blood, condense into a spiritual torch and ignite the future. How gorgeous these youth is, how shocking this sense of mission is.

Although there are no wars in China now, we have not caught up with a 

heroic era. But last year's epidemic, our Chinese youth handed in a perfect 

answer. Many of the medical staff who bravely went to the anti epidemic battlefield were young people born in 1990s. They shouldered the mission of anti epidemic and disaster relief, fearless of the virus, signed the certificate of life and death, and rushed to the front line of anti epidemic on the new year's Eve when the whole family should be reunited.

I believe our ancestors must be very pleased to see this. We have not forgotten their deeds; We will learn their spirit; We will inherit their responsibilities. Looking at the current chaotic situation abroad, I think of a remark made by Wang Wenbin, a member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: "we did not grow up in a peaceful era, but grew up in a peaceful country." Thanks to those ancestors who stand up for China, and also thanks to the young people who have contributed to the construction of China. Today's China is prosperous and strong, and the mountains and rivers are still the same.

Youth without faith is confused, youth without ideal is empty, and youth without struggle is meaningless. As a contemporary youth, we should shoulder the responsibility of rejuvenating the motherland and prospering the nation. Only by enriching ourselves can we contribute more valuable youth. Therefore, a cavity of blood is not talk over paper, but action is the embodiment of self-worth.
